JIT SIX SIGMA™ METHOD

Real project.
Right tool. Right time.

A project-driven Black Belt coaching experience where the work comes first. Learn what your project needs, apply it immediately, and build the judgment to choose the right tool again in the future.

The idea

The project drives the curriculum.

The Black Belt Body of Knowledge is the coverage map. Your real project determines the order in which concepts are learned, practiced and applied.

1

Start with the problem

Bring a real improvement opportunity. We first determine whether it is a strong DMAIC candidate.

2

Pull the learning

At each phase, the project creates the question. The question determines the evidence you need and the tool you learn.

3

Close the gaps later

Mark what you actually learned and applied. After project completion, remaining BOK topics become your personalized gap-closure plan.

The JIT learning loop

Question → Evidence → Tool → Learn → Apply → Interpret

Instead of memorizing tools in isolation, participants learn to decide what evidence is needed to move a project forward and then select the method that can produce that evidence.

QUESTION
EVIDENCE
TOOL
APPLY
The goal is not to use more tools. The goal is to use the right tool for the right reason.
Program roadmap

Phase 0 + DMAIC + Gap Closure

Each phase has a clear purpose, decision questions, exit gate, tool navigator and learning tracker.

00Qualify

Does this problem earn DMAIC?

01Define

What exactly are we trying to improve?

02Measure

What is happening now, and can we trust the data?

03Analyze

What is actually driving the problem?

04Improve

What change improves the outcome?

05Control

How will the gain be sustained?

After the project: concepts your project did not require are identified through the BOK tracker and completed through targeted gap learning, cases, exercises and coaching.
A typical Sunday

Three hours built around progress.

Live time is used for decisions, application and coaching rather than long disconnected lectures.

Project Pulse

~30 min
What moved? What did you learn? Where are you stuck? What decision comes next?

JIT Learning + Application

~105 min
Learn the concepts currently demanded by the projects, then apply them to real or practice data.

Project Clinic + BB Challenge

~45 min
Coach through project issues, interpretation and tollgates, then reinforce with focused Black Belt questions.

Program at a glance

Built for real execution.

The core project-coaching journey is expected to run approximately 4–6 months, followed by individualized BOK gap closure as needed.

Phase 0: Project Qualification

Before spending months on DMAIC, determine whether the project is worth doing, measurable, accessible and realistically executable.

Candidate projects are screened for problem clarity, measurable Y, impact, unknown cause or solution, process and data access, sponsorship, influence, scope and timeline feasibility.

The qualification scorecard is designed to remain useful long after the program as a practitioner decision tool.

PROJECT QUALIFICATION

Does this problem earn DMAIC?

1

Is there a measurable performance gap?
2

Is the cause or solution genuinely unknown?
3

Does solving it matter?
4

Can you access data and influence change?
What you build

More than course completion.

Project execution experience

Work through a real DMAIC problem with evidence, decisions, stakeholder constraints and measurable outcomes.

Tool-selection judgment

Learn how to decide what method is appropriate instead of reaching for a tool because it appeared on a syllabus.

A future reference system

Keep the phase guides, navigators, scorecards, trackers and gap plan as a practical reference after the program.
